In 2020, amidst the global covid-19 pandemic, Paper / on the Rocks fell victim to a crime.

Still trembling on our foundations due to the impact of the worldwide crisis, we faced yet another ordeal. Being a young startup improving a giant industry, we knew 2 things for sure as soon as we learned about this crime:

1. Things like this can never be a reason to give up on our mission.
2. We need to get creative and remain a strong team to face this sudden emergency.

What happened?!

As you can understand we can’t share all the details here, but imagine very savvy identity theft, international shipments and cyber crime. One big mix of mis(t)ery.

Well, we’re also still wondering about that. Looks like mobsters gone green – which if you think about it, might be a good thing anyway. We absolutely have no clue. But crimes like these happen to companies.

And now?

Against all odds, we got the books back.

Who could make that up? Nobody, thats for sure. A happy ending to a very stressful and intense saga in Paper / on the Rocks history.
