A piece of evidence
In 2020, amidst the global covid-19 pandemic, Paper / on the Rocks fell victim to a crime.
Still trembling on our foundations due to the impact of the worldwide crisis, we faced yet another ordeal. Being a young startup improving a giant industry, we knew 2 things for sure as soon as we learned about this crime:
- Things like this can never be a reason to give up on our mission.
- We need to get creative and remain a strong team to face this sudden emergency.
As you can understand we can’t share all the details here, but imagine very savvy identity theft, international shipments and cyber crime. One big mix of mis(t)ery.
5000 sustainable notebooks were stolen. Why notebooks, you might wonder.
Well, we’re also still wondering about that. Looks like mobsters gone green – which if you think about it, might be a good thing anyway. We absolutely have no clue. But crimes like these happen to companies.
Against all odds, we got the books back.
Who could make that up? Nobody, thats for sure. A happy ending to a very stressful and intense saga in Paper / on the Rocks history.
5.000 sustainable notebooks, pieces of evidence in an international crime investigation, are waiting for their new owners.
Become part of Paper / on the Rocks history
History was already in the making with our mission to switch from a polluting paper industry, towards a healthy and diverse paper industry.
But now you can claim a piece of evidence – from a real life story with a happy ending. And at the same time, you’d greatly help us out to move forward with our mission.
(To make it extra cool, these come with a stamp, and are all numbered, so you can forever remember this weird story… Neat!)
